There were some incredibly beautiful old churches in Avila. A family of cranes had made their nests near a tiny statue of the Virgin Mary.

well, it looks like they found a safe place to nest! What an interesting picture. I feel like I've seen a story about cranes nesting at the tops of churches. very cool, I like the colors too! :rose:

Thank you so much for the sweet comment. I also remember reading a story about nesting cranes and churches as well. I believe that the story took place in Norway, and it brought good luck if a crane nested on your house/church/etc.
